Hey yall just thought I would say hello I scored my first box the other day off CL for cheap.. The few things I was able to find on the forum about this box told me it was a good find. Does anyone know the year of this box? Anyhue the hunt is on now..

Roger you can't go wrong with the Platinum series from Panasonic. I have the DT-680 they pump and they are rugged but the only thing is the cassette mechanism which oxidized and cause to malfunction. It's a problem that can be fixed is just the labor that comes into play, but once done you can sit back and enjoy the sounds.

Welcome Roger and I agree with the rest of the boomer nerds, that panny is a way cool first box. Hold on to your butt though because the ride just started, money will be flying out of your wallet that you didn't know you had and you'll find space in your place you never knew existed.

Thanks eveyone for the encouraging words.. Smokin Endo is to blame 4 getting me interested I got to visit him awhile back and was enamored wth his collection and said to myself I need a couple of good boxes of my own.. 1 down a few more to go haha.

...I have the CS 780 and that is a great sounding box. You will definitely get lots of enjoyment from that one.
