New Lasonic 1-931 - which iPods does it support?

Gang,

My i-931 just arrived in the mail. Now, I have what I "thought" was a black 80GB iPod "classic", but the manual states it does not support the classic, and the only adapter that seems to work is "iPod with Color Display", however, this one seems to connect just fine, but has some extra space in front of and behind the unit. Any thoughts? Is there a risk to using this docking adapter, and are there other adapters available aftermarket?

That's really weird, but the iPod changes shape every six months so you can't really blame Lasonic. Maybe you could wedge some pieces of a styrene sheet into the adapter to give the iPod a more snug fit.

There are no aftermarket adapters for the i931's iPod dock.

I have a 120GB iPod Classic and use the "iPod with video" adapter... It's not a tight fit but it doesn't matter 'cause if the iPod is pushed all the way down on the connector, it won't go anywhere. A little bit of room in the front and the back won't hurt anything.
