Hi all. I was lucky to pick up a Sharp gf-9191 for $4 New Zealand. I have been eager to get into collecting for a while but boom boxes are like hens teeth here. The Sharp needs a bit of work but is indeed a keeper.

I also have got a Toshiba KT-S2 with the RP-S2 FM tuner pack.

If anyone one has any specific knowledge of the Sharp I would be keen to hear what you know.

Nice! A GF-9191 for $4 (in any kind of dollars) is a great score. I have the black version of that box here that cost me considerably more. I love the GF9x9x series. My first real "serious" box as a teenager was the GF-9292!

Member Weyland/Yutani is also from New Zealand, I just sent him some mixtapes. There are lots of good people from all over the world here!

Welcome to the B.o.B. crew!

Welcome!

I've got a 9191, they're nice boxes....

Had mine apart to do a few minor jobs but nothing in too much depth.

Welcome to the best enthusiast site.

The GF-9191 is a very nice box and a true classic. If you need help technically post your detailed issue in the Tech section as Fatdog suggested.
