I want to tell you a little about my Boombox life and where it started and where I picked back up. Long long time ago, (around 17) my mother purchased a Boombox for me. We didn’t have lots of money but I knew that it was quite the purchase. I was so totally pumped that I couldn’t wait to get it home. It being a Quasar GX3661. I know, by all means it wasn’t the best radio but it was my radio. And, I was a gift from my mom which made it the best radio to me. Used to take it everywhere. It was always with me. Shortly after owning it, I was driving in my car somewhere (can’t remember) and when I got to my destination, I left my radio in the car. Unfortunately, someone had seen my beautiful radio and decided that they wanted it. Yep, stole it right out of my car. They left the external speaker wires hanging out of the window and that was that. It was gone. My heart was broken. I didn’t know what to tell my mother and I know I let her down. I let myself down. So irresponsible of me. To this day (55 now) I continue to look for one. It’s the same model as the Panasonic or National RX-5650. I would do pretty much anything to get another Quasar GX3661.

thanks for reading and getting to know me a little and look forward to being part of the Boomboxery family.

Welcome friend, that's a great backstory. I can't imagine how horrible you felt. With your determination, a replacement Quasar is only an inevitability. Looks like one sold on the bay days ago so they are still floating around out there. Good luck with the search!
