Cassettes has not died yet, but I saw in the news the other day VHS recorders has reached its end this year.

That is very interesting. Had a conversation with my Father in law about cassettes. He mentioned that cassettes will never have the same quality as a CD. I brought up an interesting (but good) point. I mentioned that in the studio, everything is usually mastered on reel to reel (a form of tape). It's not a cassette but still a magnetic medium. All other formats come later...digital or otherwise.
