New Box

Ok well it's an old box. Just picked up a sanyo m-9902-2 on Fleabay for $22.00 and that includes shipping. Looks to be in good shape and seller stated that everything works but we will see. Everyone tells the truth on there right? Not one of the giant monsters but a good looking minibox. Anyone have any experience with these? I know that it is probably not worth very much but it looks like a nice little box.

The Sanyo M9902-2 was my first boombox.
It's a nice little unit and sounds pretty good for what it is.
Here is mine and I still have it from back in 1982.....

OK I didn't realize there were different versions of the 9902.

Here's mine, it's not a 9902-2, just a 9902. Pretty sure I've seen a black version around the traps as well.

Yes I think they had two versions of 9902's Terry.
The version you have,which is the first version and yes they made it in black.
And the 9902-2 like I have. I think the 9902-2 denotes the 2nd version.

Well I know mine has given me many hours of pleasure, in fact it's the current kitchen box for the missus, stuck on talk/news radio. Pretty good sound, and as always top notch Sanyo build quality.

They also made 3 versions of the "newer style" the M9901 M9902 and M9903K with shortwave.
These were mine as well.

roguez, all these little Sanyos are massively underrated.

Here's my other one, M9802, but another great looker of a box. This one is another one in daily use.
