New Boombox.

My very lovely wife bought me a new BBX this past week. She says it was for my up coming birthday, but it was to big to hide so she gave it to me early.

It's a Magnavox D8300:

It's was a little dirty and was missing the antenna, but otherwise it is in great working order. I replaced the antenna with one from a broken mid 90s box, but it's a little short to fit into the D8300's clips. The box works great with the my MP3 cassette, but I do have to hit the rewind button to fast forward to the next song. I'm very happy about the sound of the box and my only complaint is that the deck has to be on Rec to use the line input.

She also got me these shoes:

Here's some boombox coolers she bought me a few years ago. They have a really bad sound and are not loud at all.

Congrats el cad that Magnavox is a good box.
As for the cooler radios they are probably like most novelty items, they look cool but don't work so well.

The wife got those coolers at a clearance store. I think AJ Wright. We haven't used them in a while, but a friend we gave one to, really loves his. They do have a line in BTW.

Yes, it is kind of weird being yellow. Yellow electronics always make me think of the Sony Sport line, which I think were splash-proof.

Very sweet. We used one like this at work in the 90's. It was the Philips version (in white)
It was a very loud box.
