alright , I picked up the new one this afternoon , found it in yahoo auction again.

The JVC RC-838
Nice sound , perfect function , everything works.
needa clean it up and fix the problem of the cassette door , it eject slowly , not smooth enough. Love those 3 LED light

I am totally fall in love with this volume button

btw, any advices for cleaning those black dirt?

Actually it reminds me of the Star Trek transporter controls

That model has the best reception of any box I've seen. I can get shortwave from China easily. But the bass/treble sliders on mine don't work, so I'm probably going to sell it and let someone else fix it.

How does the reception stand up to the realistic scr8, I hear it has top of the line tuner with very strong reception I have on and can get strong Chicago stations which my other bbx's get weak
