Hi,I got an Aiwa Stereo 660 a few weeks ago and
the packing wasn't good:(:(
The sides didn't have protection so I have some stress
cracks near the right handle area which the video shows.

What I need to know is what type of glue can I use
that won't discolor like crazy glues do??!!
It just needs some strong glue or epoxy that will
keep this together strong so I can paint over it with
the closest Aiwa silver color paint I can.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed!
It works 100% and sounds fantastic.
Luckilly the cracks aren't deep and I can still carry it
but I have to fix this for sure soon!
Have a great one!:)

If I have a crack where the two pieces can be separated, I usually use superglue to hold the two pieces perfectly in position before then using JB Weld to provide a permanent and strong bonding solution. You use the JB Weld on the internal surfaces thus allowing enough thickness of weld to provide a strong fix.

This would be especially important when repairing a crack around a crucial part of the casing like your handle mounting area.

Thanks for the links Joe!
Yes I've repaired and restored a few but for these cracks I'm thinking
the acrylic cement will be best if applied with a q-tip very evenly and thin.

Then to get some silver paint to match.
Thanks again!:)

Yep, q-tip from the inside of the box and the fluid will "wick" into the crack. Then take a piece of VHS tape flap and acrylic cement that to the inside of the case to support the crack. You might not even have to paint then.

I've got it all repaired from the inside with
Gorilla Glue Super Glue on the inside and then reinforced
It with JB Steel Weld!
I then put a super thin layer of Gorilla Glue Super
Glue on the outside cracks withhardly any discoloration!

Now I just need some Aiwa 660 silver paint to
thinly paint over the small cracks on the outside.

Anybody have a match on this paint?

Now I have a 660U and a 660H! The U is more
powerful at 22 wats vs. The H at 16 watts!
Yes the U sounds more beefy and more powerful and
more bass!:)
Can't wait to fix this one up next-just needs belts
and a good internal cleaning!:)
