Ok, found this vintage model kit on ebay recently and thought you guys would get a kick out of it.


This 1/6 scale model kit features:
a moving handle
a soft-opening cassette door
two cassette tapes
a tiny microphone
a cassette rack

Looks like there are two other models in the set! Trying to find them too but no luck yet heh.

Yeah, I saw that one on ebay too! I have an old bluetooth speaker I don't use anymore that's pretty small so I was going to try to use it and see if I can get the combination to work.

that would be awesome if you integrate the Bluetooth unit into the body of the Boombox model. in my opinion that would be a very worthwhile project. maybe remove the interior of the Bluetooth unit and just put it inside the housing of the Boombox model and put speakers where they would normally go.

Yeah, I think that would be the way to go about it. I'll dangle that as the project I work on after I finish my vz-2000 restore. There's a line on the model box that says something about being able to light up the tuning band with a bulb. Maybe an LED would do the trick.

There's an even smaller box (here) that plays AM/FM. It even comes with a miniature cassette in its own case, that when you put it into the deck, it lets you record into the mic.
