Between all those Japan boxes arriving at my house, I almost forgot to intorduce my recent bargain
So, while doing my usual eBay search two weeks ago after I coming from the flea market empty-handed, I saw a listing for a GF-777H on eBay Germany for 449€ BIN OBO.
I quickly went through the pics and it DID look great .
However, the seller stated that the decks were working and radio reception was fine but he had no idea about the rest of the radio so he sold it as defective .
Damn...what to do? Is this a scam or is it form someone who really does not have a clue what they have?
Without thinking too long, I entered a 300€ offer and laughed it off thinking it would not get accepted anyway...well - what can I say?
It got accepted immediately . I was really happy of course since that is a very good price for a near mint GF777H .
But after telling the seller to pack it really good, after a little less than two weeks, the worst box i ever got a boombox in arrived .
I was too shocked to take anypictures because I was sure only a broken radio would wait inside .
Well...miraculously it was undamaged! The box was taped together from two wobbly cardboard boxes and filled with some plastic garbage (I am not talking bubble wrap but really trash!)
I hooked it up quickly and everything was working just fine . Lots of relief and a nice new GF-777H. I always wanted the H one more than the Z so I am really happy now
Well, off to my next problem
Something i would have never expected happened: my wall is out of space to put any new boomers
I have to store grails on the floor right now until I find a solution . I guess the way to go is add a few more rows of shelves on the other wall where my HiFi is sitting at the moment .
Anyone wants to shoot a music video in my room? Certainly would look pretty cool
Oh yeah...while I got many more boomboxes, I lost A LOT of hair in the meantime
And to conclude it: RADIOHIER pose
