National RX-7000 : looking into buying one.

Hi guys,
Found an RX-7000 mint and fully working.
For those who have bought one or have an idea of the value of such a box, how much should I pay? How much is to much?

Norm one of our sayings on Boomboxery and S2G is a Boomboxes value is what you and seller decide on. There are about 4 on eBay showing $1500 plus but of course none are here in states. Me personally I would not pay that much. But an average price I would think depending on how clean, parts missing or broken, working of unit and so on could anywhere from $300-$700. Good luck!!!

William, dont think I can get it as low as $700 but, I managed to deal the price down by $300 and include the shipping which was another $150. Actualy saving $450. After that it is just a question of “ how bad do I want this” lol

Seen that one 🤤 ... at $2500 US, wow! That is nearly $3500 Canadian. Its a beauty though!!

I guest I wanted it bad enought.... Got the seller to drop price by $450 US from her original asking price. Happy about that.
And before buying it, she sent me, after I asked, videos of the RX-7000 in action playing the radio at different stations AND playing a tape to make sure it sounded good. And it sure did
It’s on its way to me.

That is a beautiful box and looks to be in very good shape. My little Panny with Ambience sounds incredible with speakers half that size so I am sure that's going to be a beast. Excellent old school blaster. Nice score Norm

It’s in realy good shape for sure and everything works great. As you say, although the sound is already impressive, when Ambience is turned on well... wow!

I didn’t know much about this box. Had just read about it here. Very impressed with it.
I dont have alot of experience with one peacer having mostly 3 peace boxes and a RX-7200 but, that RX-7000 is at the top of my list for overall sound quality. And I’m picky! 🧐. Keep in mind that it is a small BB delivering arround 7.5 watts per channel but still.
It’s going to be my music player of the month.... probably of the year. 😃
