Hiya, welcome to the forum! :hi:

Dear me, there's so much dirt on that Panasonic it's a wonder you even noticed it in it's surroundings - it's in a shocking state! :w00t: You don't say how bad the internal parts are but I hoped they've survived better than the outside and, with a bit of effort (well, a lot really!)along with a dose of good luck, you may have found yourself a nice little keeper. I hope you decide to restore this radio and keep us up to date with your progress.

Good Luck!

The good news is that it starts and has a very clear sound on aux. On the radio just goes MW on the FM does not find anything dead just 'fsss'. But he sounds amazing, im in love, loud and clear whith no distorsions😍

Welcome
great stuff
pull it apart and give it a bath
The boxes I have got with lots of dirt often the dirt has protected them and they come up looking great
just needs some loving
the only worrying thing for me is the door looks not to be sitting strait this may be a broken door post
but great to see you try to save this baby

Nice thread.
I like this version of the National Panasonic 5030. If it still works in that condition then maybe it deserves the restoration treatment after surviving all these years. A little dishwasher soap and water, a toothbrush and a towel will bring this one up nicely especially with these nice grills. Good luck, I’m rooting for this one!

Slowly with small baby steps, me and my box went together in an adventure with ups and downs with nerves and joy, I hope the story has a happy ending.

It looked like you dug it out of the ground, 😮
I love how it's coming along and the chrome is polishing up quite nice! Good work and welcome to the club

I have a 5031, it's dark gray twin. Love it. Easily the best on batteries of all my radios. Maybe not the loudest, but probably the best radio reception too. Great little radio, and you can take it almost anywhere.

Matsushita Products are the number one, highest quality electronic company. Enough said! Yes, I'm biased, but truth be told and proof in the pudding after that find in its horrible state, and it still works. Good job! Dedicated people like you keeping it alive!
