My Sony FH15R

Got from a friend without the APM speakers and without the handle.
I devised an experimental handle (with sheet aluminum and wood) and installed the speakers, 4 inches 8 ohm.

The result is pleasing (to me).

Looks good! I have an FH-15 too, but it has rotted woofer surrounds. I need to replace mine with something like you've done. Do you happen to recall the brand/model number of the drivers you installed?

The woofer instaled, it´s by Brazilian Brand "Gradiente" and I buy 2 years ago (but not in use since).
Maybe you find much better woofer´s (midbass) in Parts Express. http://www.partsexpress.com

I had to build a new base for those woofers because, as the originals are square and larger, these new would not look good when installed.
I'm still considering putting a screen on the inside by copying the RX C-300 from Panny.

In similarity, my woofers are identical to the one below:

Thanks for that info. I wondered if you'd done some modification - I had tried a pair of woofers (in the original mountings) that didn't look good at all! Yours looks nice as-is though...from what I can tell, you don't even need an RX-300-style screen.

Damn good looking and sounding.
I hope to possibly find one of these.
there is one on ebay but it is pickup only and about 1000ks south of where I am.
also the speakers are broken and the memory for the radio doesnt work
guess ill just keep looking
