I picked up a SONY CFS-88S for a good chunk of cheddar but the face was in great condition & fully working. Here's someone else's video of the 88S so you can get a reference...

As for mine, it arrived in original condition. The 2 things that sold me on this SONY was the elegant brushed metal finish, precision feeling of the knobs & the gorgeous signature blue display. Of course, 8" woofers & 2 way speakers that detach didn't hurt either...

Of course, the cherry on top was the absolutely god-zilla sized down-sweep VU's bouncing to the beats with a clip LED in the center of the action....SWEEEET!!!!

So, I thought, WTF? RGB that MOFO!!! Boo-Yeah....

Oh yeah, it does all of that if you watch till the end but I will post a better video of it in hi-gear for you man.

too bad those things don't have the nutz to take advantage of those 8" woofers :-/

HA-HA-HA!!! That's too funny. You did a great job with the video I figured, why re-invent the wheel when the subject is already covered.....The VU's were accessible but the tuning scale & cassette will take considerable planning if I decide to do that but I don't plan on it yet. I really like the present look since the Vu's are HUGE, an eye popping blue & begging to be lit up. I kind of like the fact that the LEDs in each meter shine down from above & through the meter. The eye is drawn to the 2 GIANT needles tapping out the beat while the clip LED in the center finishes off the entire look. I want to light the dial too & have a switch to turn that part on or off, independently from the VU's.....that would be sweet but it is extremely tight in the CFS-88S. I was barely able to find room for the LEDs & the controller card. Even finding a spot for the sens, knob was a tense ordeal It is PACKED!!!
