You don't see too many Pioneer CK units on eBay, so when this CK-11II popped up, I almost crapped my pants. It initially had a $220 BIN, and I would have hit it then, but I didn't have enough "play" money at the time. I went ahead and put the $70 minimum bid and decided to take a chance. I thought I had it in the bag for a while until some other guy came along and started bidding against me. Well, a bidding battle eventually took the price higher than the initial $220! I thought, "What the heck am I doing?!" I pulled out the white flag and surrendered to the other bidder. Damn.

About a day later, the seller sends me a second chance offer. :w00t: But... it was still way higher than the original BIN. I contacted him and we worked out a deal for the CK-11. Let's just say I paid a good bit less than $220.  It's going to need some love to get it back in shape, but I'm super excited about this project! After hearing Prime's CK collection at the Sunshine Mix a few years ago, I knew I had to have one. I found an old post by Prime over at S2G that had retail prices for all the components. This CK-11II cost approximately $895 in 1984!! :-O

Enough of the gab... Here are some pictures.

Yeah. Crumpled magazine pages is NOT what you want to see when you first open a package.

Wow that is cool!

What is behind the little black cage on the lower backside of the box? Is that where the transformer is or something?

Oooo, did you find yourself a M9970 Ramon? I know you've been looking for one. That LED bargraph is really unique and lovely to look at, isn't it?
