My newly painted M70

I've been doin a bit of painting of my M70 it was very bad body wise condition scatched and cracked case and as it was soooo bad i painted it matt black!!! the speakers are from a 575 (which are just until i have had the original one's repaired) it looks cool!! what do ya reckon boomboxery people??

:agree: The white speakers look great!!!!!!! Unfortunately they probably don't sound anywhere near as good as the originals......... :-/

they sound terrible but i won't use it until i have the new speakers done it's just a shelf queen at the mo!! it works but i don't want to risk the amp!! I must say one of the most easy big box's to pull apart!! (apart from the cheap big black one's ie crown)

That's kind of cool. I'd probably go ahead and paint the handle bar black also. :yes:

I appreciate the work done to that M70 but the black just doesn't do it for me :hmmm: . Not sure why...... nice work though :yes:

Looks sweet that colour and gives it a cool look with the speakers - what do you reacon about when the originals go back in that it might be a bit too dark ? :hmmm:

The originals may well make it look too dark but we'll see it's just a mess about box really it all works but it was dropped once which smashed the sides and internal tuner parts and they have been glue together very poorly so it's going to change colour alot i reckon

I like the concept but a little tweeking can clean up the overall look. Definitely paint the handle black. The original speakers would look and sound better...but in the end all that matters is if you like it, you are off to a good start though.

Looks great man.

Thinking about doing this to my Crown 8080w its sooo yellowed from second hand smoke its gross.

Is there a how to guide for best painting methods? (best type paint, procedures etc...)

I may have a complete set of speakers for you if you need them. Tweeters included. Theyre not perfect but they work. PM me if interested. We can get all specific about then. I'd paint the handle as well so it all looks even.
