Hi everyone-I was at Goodwill the other day & I found the coolest little GE radio and a super beater Sony CFD-8 for .99!!
Now this Sony was painted lime green on the top and sides! I had to take rubbing alcohol and other cleaners to get this paint off-it was literally painted on with a brush!-Tacky!
So after a couple of cleanings it's way better.All working except the CD is sluggish-you have to start it a couple of times and then it goes alright but the sound is really quite good! For .99 I had to rescue it!
I really should have taken before photos-it was bad!.
Now it's at leat presentable,needs alittle black paint over the couple of burns,but if I was to find a CD cover it would be really good!! It's going to get a interior cleaning and the speakers are going to be taken out & cleaned to! It's fun project with no $ involved!! Plus I'm fixing the grills and cleaning them with the speakers removed.
Now this GE is nuts!! I seriously can't believe the sound that comes out of this!! It's incredible-It like it has a subwoofer in it-I'm not lying-It has IC circuitry! I'm super happy on this for 1.99!! For 3.00 total for both -I'm very happy-The GE is heavy & runs on 4 C's and has weather channel!

Cool finds Ghettoboom, for 99 cents they would be tough to pass up. Norm does make a good point about our GW's in Cali, even old beat up cassettes cost $1.00 and everything goes up quickly from there. :annoyed:
