Finally.....Endless E-gay searches......Web searches and craigslist............ :-/ ....I was tired....

But now I have what everyone recommended,,,,,,,,,,,
My JVC M-70 arrived and after some issues to sort out with no sound from the right channel, It now plays and yes....It's loud...Louder than I thought..... ....This is not a great pic but for now it will do........Better pics in the sun to follow.......Needs TLC but that's no problem. Tape player out but that's ok since I use the Line in feature......
I will try to get before and after pics......Man it was a bear to disassemble.......But I got it.....Soldered the headphone jack and BAM....Works like a champ.......Thanks to all for the encouragement...You know who you are...... And to the one who sent me the link on the E-Gay auction.... I ended up coming $10.00 under my allotted price....$140.00 shipped......Everything is there with the exception of a few screws which I know you guys can help me with..... ;-) ....And no...not that gay auction for M-90 $50.00 screws.

Thanks all

And yes I have the cassette door and screws....I had taken it off to clean it before I took the pics.............

To my fellow brothers....Does any one have one fine thread screw for the top row rear housing...One long screw for the lower rear housing and finally one internal fine thread handle screw. It goes through the black cap then into a bracket?????? If you do have one could someone help me out????
I would greatly appreciate it....

Thanks

:agree: Way to go, majestic!! And what a fantastic price too.  I'm sure that parts will be easily found for this box; quite a few have a beater M70 laying around the house. It seems like everybody their grandmothers have one. Now, if I could just get an M70 for myself.

That's one of the boxes everyone seems to want. There's no better build quality than that of the 70.You did a lot better than I did on the price! :w00t:

As I've heard........I think the biggest hurdle I had was the price.....At this time I really only had $150.00 total to spend or I would have to wait till Tax returns........They seem abundant but not at my price range.....Until this one....

just because there is always an m70 on ebay doesn't mean they're all worth getting. majestic needed to strike a balance between condition and price. which he did. congrats majestic! great box. great pic. let us know how you tackle the performance issues. as soon as you do it'll be a lifelong keeper.

Yes, loud and great overall sound. I think this was a "labor of love" for some JVC engineers back in the day. Obviously a favorite of mine. I know for certain it can be heard for blocks.

If anything would happen to mine I'd be sick... :'-(

Welcome to the M70 club!

All it takes now is a stepup to the allmighty M 90. This one kills the M 70 :dj-party:
