I got this Toshiba RT-S90 from Erniejade this weekend along with another complete working RT-S90. I still need to do a little work on the cassette deck and do a little cleanup. It is one of the beautiful to look at and best sounding boxes I've ever heard. I love the lighted dial and the lighted "Adres display and especially the awesome looking light green lighted VUs. The highs and midrange are amazingly crisp and clean. The bass is very good also. I love how easy it is to open up this unit to work on it. Just 7 screws around the front panel and it opens right up. I really love this box.......

Are you sure he gave up 2 S90's willingly???
I suspect foul play, or rounds of roofie-coladas!

Extremely cool man, good luck fixing them up.

Awesome! :w00t:

Make sure you be proactive in maintaining those cassette decks, however, and keep the belts fresh because if they fail the heads have a tendency to lockup preventing the cassette door from opening and your "easy to open" boombox will instantly become a nightmare.

Thanks guys! I worked a trade with Erniejade,he was quite willing to trade the S90s to me as he had tried to get them working in a vintage electronics repairer in Chicago and they couldn't figure the deck out. I got it home and I was listening to a cassette in about 10 minutes after taking it apart. I think Ernie was just sick of working and sticking money into them to get them to work. :nonono:
