Hi everyone-Here's my new Toshiba RT-8578 boombox.
This thing is really,really clean!
Everything works except tape 1 which I knew about.
I'm going to take it apart tomorrow-probably a bad belt.
It even has Aux. in!-That's cool for my portable CD player or I-Pod!
It sounds pretty decent for a 15W draw boombox.
I like the shiny black finish and chrome accents-very stylin'. :surf:
It takes 6 D's and 3 AA's for memory.
It even has a digital clock!!
I'm happy and for 18.00!!

Hi Fatdog-It sounds pretty good-There's a speaker in the back!
I'm going to give it the rounds tonight but so far it's pretty clean sounding and for th esize it's a great boombox.
BTW-I would have replied to your post on those records but I've never heard of them before.
I'm having to box up some boomboxes-it's getting crowded in here!

Has a high quality look with nice styling for the era.Such a looker! A very good score,I'd say! I'm particularly interested in how it sounds.Does it go loud in an old school way.Is the bass impressive? Does it have a clean sound with nice highs? What does it compare to? I think a full review is in order :yes:

Hi everyone-The sound is great!
For this size it has really nice highs and mids.
The bass is really quite good-you just have to adjust the lower frequency slider to about 75% and hit the DBSS to about 80% and then the volume can get pretty loud and It's pretty clean.
Yes Toshiba's are nice-makes me want a WX-1 pretty bad!
