So I'm at Lopez's house and I'm asking him or rather I'm talking about what I used to play with when I was a wee kid. I told him about a beast of a radio that my late uncle  used to own, I explained to him in depth what it looked like and said I saw it in one of my fellow Boomboxery's avatar picture along with a 777 and an M90.

Lopez walks away, after hearing him wrestle with various "gems" he comes back and wips out the very beast I was talking about:The SHARP HK-9000!!!!! One of my personal Holy Grails!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:
He knew the next question!! I didn't even argue the price cuz Lopez NEVER OD's on price. After some tune up technics that Lopez puts his radio's through prior to letting one of his "kids" go, SHE WAS MINE!!! My eye's well up as I listen to her, LOUDLY!!! :stereo: the way it's supposed to!! She didn't disappoint! Shout out to M. Lopez you've given me some of my youth back and cool memories of my late uncle!

Very nice boombox and a great story, thank you for sharing. It is nice to live next to a collector who doesn't mind parting with some boomboxes... :-D

Hey Jboogie, that' was my avatar :-D Congrat's on the HK, it's probably the loudest boombox I have. I replace the woofers with subwoofers on mine, and it shakes the floors :w00t:

sorry - this was an old thread I ressurected to find out if it ran on D cells!
Hey it's cool my brother. Yea she runs on D's. Bought Master Z's too so that makes two that I own. These get pretty loud and play clear. And never forget "The only stupid question is the one never asked"
