Yesterday, I drove an agonizing 11hrs round trip to pick up an amazing addition to My collection. The Sharp VZ2000 Fully disassembled, cleaned, and rebelted. It even came with the OG Demonstration album disc from 1982. Now. many of You here know what heavy boxes I've got in My collection, but THIS one, supersedes them all in weight. I placed it atop BillBoyBill's washing machine to further inspect it near eye level. I think I aggravated a slipped disc in My back trying to lift it off from chest level, to the floor. Bill, I hope You have Home Owners Insurance for My Chiropractor bill. Just kidding. This thing is beautiful and so cool. Even , My wife acknowledges how cool this Box is. Usually, she rolls her eyes at them and mostly remains unimpressed. I overheard her tell her Dad how impressive it is and asked him if he still had his antique album holder thingy to place My Vinyl collection with it. I couldn't wait to play some of My Vinyls last night, as I nursed My sore back and pressure sores on My rear, from the long drive. Thanks Bill. Here are a few pics. Hi Larry. I haven't weighed it yet, but planning to today. Maybe someone here knows and will post it. I do know my big Fisher PH-492. weighs 33Lbs w/o batteries. Sorry for not converting it to metric. And, the VZ2000 has got to be around 36-38 w/o batteries. As for the sound, I will test it further today. Kids were asleep when I wanted to crank it up.

Congrats!!

The 2000 is ridiculously heavy...when I got mine it went in the boom room in pride of place and has never moved since...just too damned heavy!

I just love sticking some vinyl on and watching it spin...it's a great box so congrats on adding one to your collection :-)
