Found a jvc pc55 at the bootsale this morning...£15..maybe i should have haggled on the price ha ha..

Ghettoman, that is a wonderful score! It even has the original sticker on the cassette door too. Those JVC PC-55s are very nice boomboxes. I've been molesting Freddie's PC-55 since our last Florida meet.

I agree with BSL that the U.S. needs boot sales.

cheers fella`s,yeh you definately need boot sales over there,maybe you could find some land,rent it each week,like a field or a large unused car park,put adverts out for people who want to sell some stuff,charge a few dollors for each stall to cover the rent,maybe you could start a trend,then do it in other towns,once people find that its a good idea,others will start to do it,but it needs some one to kick it off..
And yess,my first pc55 with cassette sticker,its ont in brilliant condition though,its a bit crinckled,and falling off,wonder if the stickers can be copied like the 777 speaker stickers ??

It's amazing how many old boomers can be found in the wild.Given the fact we are collectors ,every time I see a story like this it makes me feel really good.This is one more pc-55 rescued from a fate of being bought for cheap,abused,and possibly trashed.Maybe there should be a special forum topic for boomboxes found in the wild entitled "Boombox Rescue".

great score man , i adore my pc 55 luckily peter griffin sold me one in damn near mint condition i would say 9.5 out of 10 condition wise what a great guy he is for selling it to me and i never had a single problem with it ,i listen to it more than any other box i own and it is my second favorite box aside from the m90 although i use the pc 55 almost all the time.
