Hi everyone-I now have found the answer to my boombox covers!!
At Wal-Mart they have 3.00 large white or blue cotton bath towels!!
These are the ticket-they're like boombox blankets!!
I'm using them for dust covers and also to put on top or to cover completely.
I have a few white ones-I'm getting a blue one today!
Photos tonight-so no need for 10 or 20.00 boombox covers!!
Ira-you might like this idea!!
Have a great one-GB. :-) :-D

for me --there is an enormous pleasure at just LOOKING
at how nice and interesting all the boxes are --

so - none will ever get covered-

but for transport -- like to our meets ,
the terry cloth is real good protection

I mostly put them on top folded so it's like a dust cover.
Also it's good for stacking boomers!!
I'll post some photos tonight or tomorrow.
I don't cover mine up either(at least all the way) but it's a nice cheap way to protect them!
Have a great one-GB. :-)

I don't cover any of my boxes...i love looking at each and everyone of them regularly  ...covering them however is a good idea if you have them in a dusty environment!

How about Vacuum sealed plexiglass display cases?

I do cover some boxes because of dust but was thinking of getting a bunch of large clear plastic bags to keep them in, doesn't look the greatest but it would sure help them last. Anything to keep the dust off would be a big help so GB's idea is good and inexpensive.

Great idea!

I'm also looking at trying to make a raincoat for my boomboxes that I carry to work... it's rained a few too many times this year to push my luck any further.

Hahah they are a great looking bag indeed Ira, I've added that to my wants list.

I'm thinking of making a cover out of clear plastic. My sister bought a new comforter that came in a bag almost perfect, just need to adjust it and perforate where it falls over the speakers. I'm most worried about the top, especially the RISING, as all the controls allow for many places water can do damage.

I'll be sure to post my results, if there are any.

Rock On.
