I remember my Dad bringing this home from Toronto to small town Northern Ontario in 1981. I had the pleasure of unboxing , was 16 years old. Would have been nice to have saved the original shipping box with all packaging . When Mom was alive the original 7978 was long gone. Having contact with an electronics recycler over a few years I was lucky enough to have many boxes..Some that were non repairable; most I could source parts from. I managed to rebuild and recreate a 7978 just as She remembered. Family rented a cottage that summer. I remember listening to Kiss, and Pink Floyd the wall as the sun went down. Memories are to be cherished and that to me is why we are here.
Mom passed in 2017 May . She had the 7978 in 2013. It was karma that returned the box to me. Wish i would have been able to give Her the option of the added leds to enjoy Her Irish Rovers.
