i know it defeats the whole purpose of a portable ghettoblaster
to have it wired to our roofs !!! :-D :sadno:
but its a 'snap-off'
and ready to get loose in a moment -- :breakdance:  :-)

and it really is a great product --
google it up --and see *(i cant do links these days)

See Ira I told you an external antenna was the trick and I'm glad you didn't need a yagi! (They are unsightly depending on how they're installed.)

Congrats!!!

Nothing wrong with erecting an antenner. Some of the best tuners in the audiophile business works best with an antenna. In fact, most home audio gear won't receive at all without an antenna. However, with the additional gain, it may be worthwhile to replace the filters to improve selectivity.

What'd it cost?

Nice antenna , Ira.
Don't forget to disconnect it when there's lightning. You don't wanna f*ck up your tuner :nonono:

Got you by 20 years Ira :w00t: ! I've had one of those stamped with the name "Metz" and used it over 20 years ago. I screwed to the back of my first boombox,a G.E. 3-5266a. Amazing performance from that beastly whipper for sure!
