Boomus Fidelis
My very first boombox was a PHILIPS 170 mono.
But it was only lent from a friend, and i must give it back 1987.

Ever wanted to buy one.
The only i found 1993 on flea is a very rampaged one.
Tape dead, batt.door missing,aerial broken,....
Took it and used it 1994 on my military time

Then stored away as partspender, try to find a better one.
Searched now over 17 (!) years!!!
Found many beautiful and rare boxes, but never this one. :'-(

And now....
.
.
.
Ok, i found non. |-)

But a very similar one, seems to be as rare! :w00t:

I absolutely agree, what it means to you is more important than cost, sound quality, grailness and anything else on top.

Like you, I am searching for my first mono box (what was her name???  )

I remember what it looked like, but not the brand....I'm hoping one day to stumble on a picture.

BTW are there any online Mono Box data bases?

Same here. I had to sell it my mono back in 81' to help get my first stereo boomer. Still hoping that I'll see one that will ring a bell.
