My JVC-RCM-90JW (After 2nd. Cleaning-Outside Shots)

Hi everyone-Here's some more photos of my M-90 after the 2nd. cleaning and after getting rid of the paint on the top.
There are a few stains still but-Darn I wish I could have gottne that front cover-I was going to make an offer but it sold today-even had the eject button.
Hopefully something like that well come along again.
I'm getting my antennas from my old M-70 on here soon.
At leat they'll be close as far as barrel shaft top and what not.
The line-in works beautifully.
I even took a couple of photos of the inside for you all to see.
GOOD NEWS!! The speakers are not rotted at all,ther is no stains on the backside.
It needs cleaning on the front of the speaker-looking difficult to take apart-that's ok though.
I hope you enjoy as I'm really happy with this thing right now!

Once you own a M-90 your tastes in boomboxes get taken to a higher level.
Did you download the service Manual yet?
You will be amazed at how easy that sucker comes apart.

I got the tape deck working on mine and still haven't given it a thorough cleaning as of yet. I just gave it a good wipedown with some clorox all-purpose cleaning wet-naps. I'm kind of hesitant due to the cigar or cigarette burn warpage in the top of mine. I know that once I get started on that project it will be an involved affair. Plus, I still need to source that paint color, which is not so easy to find.

I noticed mine burns through batteries much faster than my M70 does, even at lower volumes. So, the M70 is pulling back patio duty again.

Here is my M90 on its perch..., where the kaboom used to sit. At least until I put up some proper display shelves!

I'm a little surprised GB, I didn't think there was an M90 that nice hiding under the crud. Way to bring one back from the brink my friend.

Hi Ford & everyone-Thanks!!
I pride myself in my special cleaning methods!
This boombox was in better shape than I thought!!
The antennas will make it look better & of course in the next 2 weeks it's going in to be serviced-New belts and the tape deck fixed!
I can't wait.

hey it looks like you need to replace that light gray fusible link can you get a closer look at that i see that it has a small bubble that indicates that it could be bad

I can take the back off tonight or tomorrow and take more photos-Man I'd love to be able to fix this myself.
I just downloaded the owner's manual and the service manual but have to print them off at my friends-(out of ink)

Hi Johnny-Thanks-I need to get one of those Conion C100F's sometime!
Maybe this fall or winter-at Approx-800.00 they are very pricey and you can't get em' cheap!!
I'm liking restoring this one though-very serious bass!!
