its a original dd and it has under a hours use on it.
that would be me playing half of a cure tape through it.
it is pretty much like brand new. i just love it. i dont know if its a wm5 tho.
its not one of the later dds
if i plan on getting rid of it i will let you know.

bill

it is marked wm dd on the literature.

I still have my WM wsxf30.I got it when returning my Sony sport that didn't work.As I remember, the one I returned actually had two headphone jacks.Unfortunately that one was discontinued so I had to get the newer model which was the wsx30 like yours. Back in those days,I really never thought to save boxes.Usually I would keep paperwork but it usually got lost.

BTW-what are those cards with "NUDE" printed on them? The woman on the one card is pretty hot ! :w00t:

those cards are advertisments for the headphones sony made called nude.
they were in the box with all the original literature.

i am very impressed with the stereo reception on this one. in fact the headphone out on this one sounds very nice.
i think it is a very nice unit allthough i have no idea when this one was made.
the other criticism i have for this unit.
it has absolutely the stupidest design for a battery holder i have ever seen. i mean it sucks. its not broken or anything but i could see one knock and its game over little walkman buddy. off to the trash dumpster for you.
so i will take care to keep this one in order. i do rather like it. the piano black finish on it is very nice. they must have used black laquer to paint these. the depth of the paint on it could not be enamel. it is really a nicely finished unit.
