I know it's been ages since I've posted a meaningful thread here. I continue to visit occasionally to scan for new and interesting topics but there hasn't really been any topics where my unique contribution was needed as anything I would've or could add either already exists in the archives or could be responded to by some of my other friends here who are probably more patient than I anyhow.

My lack of participation is due in part to waning interest and declining health but also mostly due to this ever evolving machine called life that keeps throwing me curve balls.

As I sit here this evening pondering life, I've concluded that I certainly could take a few moments and wish all my good friends here a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Few holidays reach the level of personal importance to me than this special day and while I realize some in our country here are on a mission to erase everything faith related and try to push us into the closet, all I can say is political correctness be danged. I'll say it if I want to. So with that......

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my friends, here on Boomboxery, and may there be many more to follow!!!!!!

I think a lot of us go through those times when the interest wanes.

I would like to express my own special thanks to you Superduper for your expert advice. So much of the 'help' I've provided new members is simply info I've discovered from your posts!! :-)

Thanks for checking in here Norm. We miss your sharp remarks that are straight to the point. I hope you really aren't in declining health, and if you are you better get your diagnostic machines hooked up and start probing yourself and find the problem quick.

Norm, (know I'm late, but tend to get off the grid around this time of year) I hope you have had a very blessed Christmas and wish you a wonderful 2016. It's not how often you show up, but the fact that when you do, it makes a difference. We'd all love to see you post more regardless of the subject matter. Though many here are collectors of these units, a lot of us are a dying breed when it comes to the repair of some often times complex pieces of machinery.

Note that I used machinery. One could even use the term gear as we used to. That's who we are. I like you have some nifty complex boomboxes. But we also have some serious vintage gear. (Not "electronics" as the term is referred for most stuff today.) I am not alone in appreciating you love for this equipment.

And keep your eyes peeled. I'll be posting some neat stuff that will pique your interest this week.

Looking forward to your next post.

Hey Norm! Happy Holidays my friend. If it weren't for Norm I probably wouldn't have a boombox collection. He has taught me so much about every aspect of boomboxes and spent hours discussing them with me. Can't tell you how many times I went to his house spending hours listening to boomboxes. Norm is a great person and I am proud to call him my friend. Never met a more honest, giving person in my life.
