Hi everyone-I recently got a Sharp GF-800Z for cheap and it was really dirty and the decks didn't work.
It also had some smoke damage.
After some cleaning and some lubing and cleaning off the cassette decks it all works except the AM which for some reason stopped working.
As for the speakers the white foam material that was in ther had become a dingy discolored black.
I fixed it by puting in some white felt that I put in front of the speakers and looks somewhat close to what was ther except it's not recessed in a way.

I could do a red or a stealth black to! :hmmm:

I did a before and a after photo.
I like how this boomer is coming along. :-)
Have a good one-GB. :-)

Looks good...I like the black cover.

Thanks for the replies! Yes this was pretty easy to do and as you
can see it's much better than the old dingy smoke stained covers.

Melly-i agree black is going in soon! :agree: There's a red but I feel
the all black stealth look will really look nice.

Just glad this thing works pretty good!!
Still need to fix the AM but that's about it except to finish internal
cleaning.
Have a great one! :-)

Melly- the black was from a fire, they were white originally.
I feel I still have to clean the inner speaker plastic frame and by
putting in black felt covers it will look really nice.
