A smaller box, but don't see many Sharps here. Shown as acquired, with a minor wipe down.

Missing badge, Cassette need attention, Beat Cut switch tab broken (but they saved it! :-) ) and some scratching , worst on tweeter trim. All else working and sounds ok.

$10

Cool...my first Sharp back in 1980-something was a 4646. Not the best in the world but I loved it :-)
Thanks. Yeah, a tad thin in the bass but a good toss in the car kinda box !

Nice one! What's your opinion on the sound quality? I've been looking at the Sharp 5 series models, I may treat myself to a 5757/5858 one day soon. In the 80's I had a friend with a 4 or 5 series Sharp and I seem to remember it didn't sound too bad but at the time I was comparing the sound to my GF-9000 which wasn't quite fair!

You have to have a "Toss in the Car" box! There is a time, place and box for everything! (that's the excuse I have been living with for years! :-O :-D )

My prediction, this won't be your last Sharp! :w00t:

Nice find, great price

Those are nice. I picked one up off craigslist years and years ago and used it for shortwave browsing as it did pretty good! Plus the cassette deck still worked.

Not too impressed, but it seems durable for an every-dayer.

Probably not Chris, but they are scarce in these parts. May have to sell some to fund an out of town purchase! ;-)

Very similar for sure, with just the speakers and tuner board looking different. Is your Stereo/Mono switch missing or is it something else on your box?

Well done Duckman, I have a couple of these smaller Sharps and actually feel quite fond of them as they are much closer to the boxes I could afford back in the day.

In fact to be honest, I had never heard of or ever even seen a lot of the big "grail boxes" till I started collecting a few years back :-O

Thank man.

I've never seen any of the big ones here ever in my travels. I never even had a bigger one, an M70 sized unit, until later on in the mid 80's when a buddy gave it to me. and to me that was HUGE then, but that got dunked in a lake on a fishing trip. When I scored the M90 I was shocked at the size (in person) so to see the others on here never fails to impress.

Cheers
