My first NIB Blaster, a Sharp GF 8989

This is my first NIB Ghettoblaster :w00t: . I have them of an older man near my house. They sharp GF8989H was bought from him in 1984 and about 90 h were used. Only at home . The tapedeck only 10 h used. Everything is as new. The man lives 2 km of mine homebase. It was a ebay offers. I buy that box for 50 ;- Euros . There were higher orders, but he did not want to dispatch. I have also sometimes succeed. :-D :-D :-D

I like how Sharp cardboard shared the same theme back then ...speaking specifically about the "SHARP" back print pattern...very cool and stylish. Can't be said about JVC back then :lol:

What's the 11w sticker on the top of the box all about? Where was it originally peeled from?

I dont know :hmmm: the sticker was on top of the box ! I think it´s for loudspeaker grills The size it´s for that :yes:

the 8989 is a great all round blaster-ideal first one for a new collector-has great looks,not bass light but not over bassy either-just right in my honest opinion-i have literally in the last hour just picked one up-near mint condition and fully working ;-) just looking for a deck door sticker for her now-but i love mine :breakdance:
