Wow, some work has gone into that! I did a similar corner rebuild on a GF9000 and its so satisfying when it all comes together. I've got the same Hitachi but mine was a little less trashed

Good job, very impressive

Mucho thanks guys,it took me quite some time but I'm not rushing things like that. There are still a few imperfections.

Removing the bubblegum аround the DRPS lettering was a problem at first,I had to put the part in the fridge to harden. xD
The dust was a huge problem during the painting so I took this old Solviet heater to 'bake' the paint :-D ,dried almost instantly, with better shine too.
The tapedoor holders are from the handle of cheap PanasoAnic radio, cutted if half for each end of the door.

It's pretty loud for its size.

Absolutely awesome!! :w00t:

It looks better that it does in original state in my opinion, it now has a 'high end boombox' thing going on. Nice to see that you just happened to find a small model with seperate bass and treble controls, most boxes that size only have a tone control. I bet those new woofers made a massive improvement on the sound too!

Great work, and skill. :-) :breakdance:
