I think i kinda went crazy with purchasing these radios. I've always wanted one, and now I have 3 in less than a month. Its nothing that rare, but I love them. Here's what I have so far...

My first was the Sanyo M-X620K in decent condition.

Then came a JVC PC-30. I got this at a garage sale for only 8 bucks! In extremely mint condition!

And just this week I got the Magnavox D8443. This also in mint condition. Everything works great!

Welcome aboard, Tacooooo. You're well on your way!

I love that Sanyo 620k. Was one of my first few radios and I realllly love the tuner dial graphics and the angle the top has.
Makes it lots of fun to watch the LED meters bounce when it's positioned on the floor.

Good luck finding more!

Rock On.

Yeah, I really like the Sanyo. The VU meters are very mesmerizing. I could look at them all day. Now If I can only get the cassette to work. :-/ That one is my favorite BOOM box.

The Magnavox is awesome. Very big and loud and it works just fine. I use this when I feel like jamming to guitar solos!

The JVC is really awesome, it might be small, but I like the way it sounds. Its loud too. I'd carry this around too, but i need some batteries. I'm kinda broke after all these purchases and on top 16 D sized batteries for the Sanyo and the Magnavox.
ha. I'll get some later for the JVC.

Thanks for your input.

I know member oldskool69 is working on restoring his Sanyo 620, maybe he can give you some pointers for the deck. If you are lucky, it just needs new belts. :-)

I opened up the Sanyo just yesterday. The VU meters were not right according to the sound, so I just opened it, looked around and saw that the connection was kinda loose. So I just took it off and put it back on and BOOM, they work great now! I messed around with it some more, looked some places and stuff. The tape player has a belt, it spins and everything when in play position, its just that no sound comes out of the speakers. When I first got it sound came out through one speaker, and now it doesn't come out at all. I don't know what could be wrong with it.

But whatever, I'll look into it some more, I usually just connect my ipod through the line in and jam to it. I love it.

Thanks.
Later. :breakdance:
