A lot of those 8000 series Hitachis are simply beautiful. Very classic looking boomboxes.

most of the hitachi stuff i have come across is built to last easy to self service and sounds decent.
i mean the old heavy weight mono box of theres i have i would swear was made so a five year old could replace the belt in it.
hitachis look nice.

Really impressive look, but please don´t expect that big sound as it trys to imagine.
But it´s a really nice unit.

Was my starting box, found it at the dump.
Long searched for an working one , but never found one.

the lasonic is a good box to have good bass and if you find it in good shape don't hestate to get it i t does not disapoint i have one and i love it its getting used just about everyday more than my m90

and to rimmer, no dude, im not much of a buyer, as you see im also a Radio Amateur

and Musician, and i little to no gear, just the essential,

i dont tend to buy loads of stuff, then again i dont have much to spend either.

maybe next year i will have more money, from new jobs ( i freelance in music and cinema ),

but before i step out of my parents house i will buy a classic car... from the 50s...

probably a '56 Opel Rekord or a Kapitan with a 6 cyl, 2.8 original engine.
