Hey all! Strānj-Bōōmbŏks with a "curious" little radio I hope you like!

I got mine last year around September, when I went to visit my long time high school friend Mark in Palo Alto, California.
The price was around $30. After I got it I found out that ETON works in conjuction with Porsche Design
and Grundig. In fact, I think is the only company which can distribute Grundig there in the US.
If you'd like to look at it more closely or their other models, visit their website directly: http://www.etoncorp.com

This cool little radio is packed with some pretty awesome features like:

- 3 LED Built-In Light Source.

- Built-in hand crank power generator recharges the internal
rechargeable Ni-MH battery and cell phone batteries.

- Can be powered from 3 different sources:
1) Solar power
2) Built-in rechargeable
Ni-MH battery that takes charge
from the dynamo crank
3) USB port (USB cord was not included)

- Earphone jack – 3.5 mm socket

- Built-in cell phone charger with output jack!

- AM (520-1710 KHz) & FM (87-108MHz)

- It has NOAA weatherband – all 7 channels!

- Dimensions are: 4.96” x 2.36” x 1.81” and 126 x 60 x 46 mm (W x H x D)

- Colors available: Black, Green and Blue (I have the White one, which I guess is the "American Red Cross" model)

Now for some pics! - 3/4 View

The reason for the 2 smaller pictures is because they didn't want to load all the way in 800x600 :-/

not bad a hand crank a usb and solar cell not bad at all

Monchito and check this out bro...
When I bought it, it came with a small form to fill asking what kind of cell phone I had (make, model, etc) ...
...Couple of weeks later I got the right kind of adaptor to plug in the back to charge my cell battery while in the sun or while cranking... pretty innovative if you ask me! :-P

maybe useful for traveling!!!

Oh yeah ElDorado!!! For traveling purposes is perfect!!!

Whenever I need to get to Caracas (the Capital), I take it with me on my 12 hour double-decker bus drive and use the flashlight to stumble my way to the bathroom (which is downstairs) and also for charging my cell phone if it gets a little low and I need to make a call, etc... it's a really neat radio.

Here's the exact bus I travel to Caracas once ina very while from where I live (the Andes Mountains) strangely enough the bus line is called "Flamingo" don't ask... there's no tropical birds here... :-/
