Fully restored even. Very cool. What next on your list? I know you got the M70 coming.

Btw, your DJ logo is pretty sweet, keeps making me think of Darth Vader for some reason.

Your on the same track as me. I just did it the other way around :-) I got my Gold C100F first then my M90 after. Curious to know what you think about the sound of both the JVC vs Conion. By having both my feelings are that the M90 has crisper highs (cleaner sound) and could benefit from a stereo wide feature. The Conion is flashy and has deeper bass.

What's clear is they both go hand in hand. Combined they fill the void of the audiophile of boom boxes :-)

Enjoy that C100F. They are neat for sure. The one thing that makes yours unique is the dial banner color is a black background (or at least it looks black). Usually they are only black on the Gold Conions along with the Black Sensor section of the power switch area versus the Blue. The Silver units normally have blue. I have seen this before but it's not as common.

*Edit* - I'm confused. In the top youtube video you can clearly see the dial background is blue in the one shot. The second video appears to show a black dial background and I can't make a determination with the top pictures. Is it blue or black?

When the frame is outside of the chassis, light can hit the plate at multiple angles and brings out the blue more. It doesn't look that dark in person when playing though, so it's probably from being darker once inside the chassis, and then the bright white side lighting forces the camera to adjust the exposure and color, further darkening it.

That makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. My tablet doesn't always show colors correctly either. I find that I sometimes need to turn up the brightness to fill some colors in

I wonder if that was smuggled over during the soviet era. Seems very symbolic of capitolism to make a boom box so flashy and impractical. If that was the case, it had to be hard to get it over there.

Nah, this bbx wasn't there at that time I am almost sure.
Alas, no smuggler tales behind this one.

I've heard about this seller - most probably this box arrived
from the Americas not a long time ago (Epay?) and was just restored locally.
Worldwide whirling of boxes, shall we say.. :-)
