My big Pioneer outside....

No car was scratched in the making of these pics (this time).

As i'm off work this week I'm doing some odd jobs and cleaning/testing of some of the boxes.
Today was a Pioneer day

Excuse the pic quality, my nice Canon Ixus camera died so I'm using an old cheap Minolta.

This thing sounds sweet, decent bass, low distortion, beautiful treble from those big tweeters, just really nice.

It got lightly scratched before, but I 'T-cut' it out and it's not really noticeable now.

But no, I won't be scratching it, with or without 'approval'

I had a boxed one of those before.
Great Unit!!!!! awesome sound and about the same size as a M-70.
Soft touch controls on the deck were very finicky though.
I miss mine.

Yeah, don't like the way all the tape buttons are together except play which is up with the function buttons
It's a reliable tape mech though and sounds really sweet now it's all been aligned properly.

Sound is awesome as you say, and goes pretty loud without distortion, those rubber/gel edged cones really give the bass a nice depth too. I believe the amp is about 7.5 watts per channel RMS.

Plus I love the number of LED's on this thing; 12 per channel on the VU's, and loads dotted around all over the thing!

Actually, one was on the bay recently. No one saw it? Is this the one? I lost out on that because I think I got outbid (so what else is new).

BTW, there was a Pioneer SK-909 that recently sold as well and I TOTALLY missed that one. You don't see those too often.

Heard a 909 the other week, VERY impressive indeed and one of those boxes so much bigger than I imagined when I actually got to see it in 'real life'. Another one I'd love to add to my collection one day.
