My big black grail find

Still remembering:
My boombox collecting started with the find of this poor damaged LASONIC 931 on the dump, many years ago:
(on the left side).
Then i found a HELIX (right side), but it´s looking different:

Ever wanted a box, looking similar to the 931.
Never found one...

A few days ago i found offered @ ebay a nice CROWN.
Must get it.
This way: sorry if anybody else has bid on it...

Then 4 days no reply of the seller.
What´s wrong?

Ok, he was at work.

Shipping offered for a few euros, but i told him i will get it myself.
Sure he has never shipped a boombox before.
So i drove about 80km to get it.
And it was worth.

Ok, here it is:

Nearly fully working, only the lower deck makes a bit humming when playing.
Must clean and demagnitize it.

Good condition, but i need:
The cap of the power button
The right aerial

Anybody owns the missing parts and would sell it?

It´s a littlebit less quality as the LASONIC, but still ok

Also the backside is looking different

I´m still happy now!

Finally a compare with the 931i

I love it when a plan comes together.
Funny, I was just thinking about an early shot of your boxes, when you had an average size collection.
You must have 20 times that by now when it's all together.

Congrats, the Crown has a cool look to it.
Smart move picking it up, even with good packers those Crowns can break easily.

Thanks! Finding a long wanted box is always beautiful.

I will try to take off the button of the old LASONIC, till i find another one.
And buy 2 new aerials from the hobby shop.

Found the same one at the damaged VIRASONIC.
Did the last play now.

Fits perfect.
Need only to colour the cap in black.

theres one of them crowns in mint condition in my local pet store they use it for the radio only for the shop i keep asking to buy it but he wont sell it still gonna keep trying though i think they are awesome boxes so you have a good find there mate i envy you

Try a trading!
Sometimes it works much better to change, as to buy it.
