Hey MOD freaks,

I decided to add bars to my 777Z in a similar way to my last triple7 but this time the donor for the hardware was a Venturer multi-band radio that had bumper bars that also acted as a strap point. I cannibalized the bars & added them to the 777Z. Here are the results. I hope you like it.

It scares me the idea of modding a box like a 777 but actually these bars really suit it...it looks 'right' if you see what I mean. Good job CPL :-)

BTW, thanx for proving my point again about WHO is really pissing on these threads & trolling for a fight.....

Good luck with that....

Ok, back to the thread. It's super strong for strapping & the front bars protect the entire front controls, tuning window & cassette bays from damage, if it falls face forward. Both bumper bars bolt on with 4 nuts, bolts & washers while no issues over clearance were encountered.

So, for me, I love it. I think it looks great, adds a feel of utilitarian quality & the mod improves the 777Z's protability & ruggedness, vastly. I can lift it, using only the front bars, easily. I can carry it, NO hands, easily with the strapping I've combined & it is comfortable too. Before, I tried to carry it with the handle alone, like a suitcase, but my balance was off, my spine was out of alignment & it would be a biotch'in unweildly beast for trekking across the park...It's too tall to effectively carry it on my shoulders & this solves all of that & also protects the unit from damage....so really, I could give a FARK if anyone likes it or not....

The last 777Z I 'destroyed'.... as GHETTOBLASTER4LIFE suggested, SOLD for over 1700 US clams + 350 shipping.....I figured since you seemed to be so candid in your remark, I felt it was Ok to respond with similar frankness. No one can fault me for that....

cut the belt in the shoulder, like in the car ?
Is that not too heavy ?
Yes, the strap goes over the opposite shoulder & is quite comfortable like that. It works great & the straps are very strong....

I go with that heavy box too some beaches and after a few hours it gets heavier and heavier...

It's not really a carry around box. It's the kind of system you drop in the car & park it at a party or sit in the park & set it to strobe for an instant dnace party....

This is one of my favourite vids of the 2nd DISCO triple7. In the vid you can see me holding the whole blaster in the air, only using the front bars. Obviously, shot in my unfinished basement, in my workroom. Good bass & treble too....

I'm working on the Ghidorah while shooting this vid & listening to some obscure DUB....
