hello
im a newbie here, i stumbled across the site searching for info on my 3d80.i have a an '83/84 trk 9100e and a trk 3d80e that i thought id share
pics:

the 9100e. in fantastic original condition

hitachi 3d80. this thing is a monster in the sound department with its 4 amplifiers and twin subs. dates probably from around 1987
pics below, cleaned to within an inch of its life

inside the box on the day i got it. some attention was needed on cassette deck, and was filthy dirty but other than that, in top working order

Really nice 3D80E :w00t: Must have alot of power, i wish to get one someday. As for now i got 3D50E, not to bad too

i think it has 87watt, though i may be wrong. wasnt there an 80's 3d with a cd player? somewhere around '86

Nice Hitachis. :yes: I don't see too many of the 3D units with four speakers.

Is the 9100 a 3-piece box? Does it have hidden speaker connections? :huh:

yes its 3 piece. the speakers dont actually need any wires, for as long as they are connected to the unit, as they have these terminals on the sides. but for when you disconnect, there are wires tucked inside behind the doors on the rear of the speakers whitch connect using 3.5mm jacks

the 3 pc unit dose have some blemishes, its pretty good but not mint,. it is nearly 30 though and still works perfect :breakdance: edit: if you look at the second picture you can see the piece of plastic that holds the arial down is broken. also some chrome is flaking off one of the dials. other than that its just a few usual marks around the case

well let me know if you do, i may be selling it in the near future. Though i dont have ''permission'' to access the sale forum yet, which is annoying as im interested in having a look in there, and maybe advertising the 3d
