Right now, I'm watching this thing on the History channel called "Da Vinci & The Code He Lived By", basically telling his life story with reenactments, voiceovers and whatnot... One scene, they're showing Da Vinci painting a portrait of a woman - you know - with the muse standing there posing... In order to get in the mood, he'd have music playing in the background while he was painting. And you've gotta keep in mind that waaaaay back in the 1400's, there were no boomboxes, iPods or stereo systems - they actually had musicians playing flutes and violins and whatnot... Could you imagine that, now (if nothing progressed), in order to listen to music in your home, paying musicians, singers or rappers to come to your crib and do what they do?
