There are a few more differences but a noticeable difference is that the 767 is missing the super woofer controls present behind the grills of the 777. If you peek behind the grills on Bills 767, you'll see the molded cutouts without no controls. Of course the 767 has the cool blue around the dial.

How did you fix the broken door retainer nipples?
I was able to fit a small machine screw with nut to hold door in place over the hinge. It works beautifully and door opens and closes perfect :-D

I still can't tell what you did Bill. The nipple I'm talking about is the part that is molded into the front cabinet. Or was that NOT broken on your deck?

Yes the nipple was broken on right side but there was no way to drill a straight hole side ways to put in another nipple... not even from inside  so the screw actually holds the door hinge to the front face plus keeps it from popping upward which had caused the door to always be stuck at the top...But now it opens and closes smoothly :-D (as seen in video) sorry for the short video but it is a very tight area ;-)

Very nice! And can someone refresh my poor memory of the differences between the 7XX series? :-D
compared to the 777. yeah the blue trim and the super woofer controls like norm said. plus the 777 has mic mixing and radio echo with echo controls dial, tape fader, mic fader, and APLD. pretty sure the 777 has the highest power output as well.

The grills on the 767 are blue also  , but as for sound I thought I heard they are comparable :hmmm:
