Hello boomboxery.com! My name is Mr. Sauvesito and I'm alcoholic and a speaker junkie. I love my woman and my music, and we love the same music together! I'm extremely excited to join such a club where I can be amongst other speaker/stereo junkies. I really have the boombox bug right now, especially since the warm weather is coming around. I have a small collection of good boxes I'm proud of, I have a large collection of junk boxes as well. Besides my boomboxes, I have stereo systems in every room in my house! Luckily for me I work in a hiphop clothing store where we slam speakers all day. I enjoy all music ..... reggae/dancehall, hiphop, metal, thrash, funk, soul, dubstep, house, glitch, punk, swing, jazz, spanish flamenco, anything that makes my girls booty move :thumbsup:

Here are a few of my boxes

JVC D-7 my girl really likes this box! I enjoy listening to vinyl as well, everything about this box is in mint condition

JVC RC-M70jw I just got this box and it's a BEAST. I can believe how loud this box can get!

Lasonic TRC-975 :sad: this one really bums me out due to the fact that the guy I bought if from on ebay didn't package it well and I heard the moment the UPS man decided to slam it down on my porch before he rang the bell and ran. Power transformer broke off its mount and came disconnected from the circuit board. I have not been able to find anything on the web that shows me a diagram or picture of where these wires need to go. Lets just say it needs some serious surgery.

Realistic SCR 8 This box is in great condition! The bouncing lights on this one really brings me back to the knight rider days. This is for sure to bring good times!

Thank you for reading all of this if you did! I look forward to many more post , I can tell this is going to be a great place for my research and development. Hopefully I will be welcomed to the community.

Welcome aboard mate, really nice collection you have there and a great introduction to all members.

I think some people here will be able to guide you on the Lasonic issue and with a little bit of patience and dexterity on your part I'm sure you can get it fixed.

PS: I love the DC7 too, superb boombox.

Welcome :thumbsup: nice start to your collection. The trc975 damage is only your power board :hmmm: if so then you are lucky. Many of us here have the 975 and you can rebuild yours or maybe even get parts. I would put something about this in tech section :-D Good luck

Welcome aboard! Can't say I'm with ya' on the alcholol part but I do have some vintage gear as well. As you can see by my avatar I'm a Sansui fan. :-)

You'll find a wealth of knowledge and get to see some fantastic and even specialized collections here. :yes:

Thanks for all the compliments on my stack! I spent the night jammin' the JVC RC-M70jw till I passed out on the couch. Hilarious cause I have home stereos I could be banging but I chose my box instead. Especially since the same box just sold for $860.00US last night on Ebay!!! I AM GEEKIN' HARD ON THIS FORUM!

I also know how to enjoy the little things in life.... as close range, with the right setting of volume and tone control this little box can handle it's own! I love this little guy, seems like I know how to find an occasion for different boxes and tonight I'm letting this little box jam some the "salmonella dub" station on Pandora. Some music that my sisters boyfriend from New Zealand turned me onto. Thanks for listening...... I'm on the late night creep :ninja:

I can't get enough of this site , so i'm going to go ahead and introduce a few more of my boxes. This little Yorx is a heavy little guy, and has an amazing sound for such a little box! I know people on here aren't too hype on the Yorx brand but I definitely enjoy flexing these little speakers. I recently purchased this JVC kaboom at Ultimate Electronics during the going outta business sale, paid only $150! I brought this box as my carry on during my flight to jamaica a few weeks ago. I have been know to travel with small boxes , but this is the biggest one I've flown with on the plane. I really enjoy this new school box, it doesn't really scream loud but you can get some good bass drops at the right volume. Can be a little muffled sounding at times and it does not have a rca line in... you never know when you wanna run something random to it. I bought some dancehall and reggae cd's from some locals on the beach and the box brought in the good times!

that SCR-8 is gorgeous......its one of my personal favorites. i can stare at those LEDs all day

Let me introduce my woman.... she's told me the other day when she seen this box " NICE, THIS IS MY BOX NOW!" Needless to say it hers now and I'm glad she really loves it. :cool:
