viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17742

so yesterday --i called upon my former friend ramon :dunce: :annoyed: :annoyed:
just to mention that my minty m70 had acquired a few burrs and hairline scratches near the woofs - :'-( ( nothing real major )

he replied " np problemooo " ... " be there in 15 minutes "
as he just bought the newest DREMEL with..ultra power & trippple high speed  :-O
and wants to test it out with his new mega-aggressive bit
" i can fix all that in a jiffy " he said.

anyway --THREE hours later |-) |-) |-) :annoyed:
after 14 beers and TWO DUIs - :dunce: :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:
he finally shows up here --

i noticed that he didnt look very sharp nor capable
but he exclaimed that both he and his new dremel were well up for the task.

well --in alot less than a jiffy ------the tool and the bit got out of his control -
and he totally fked up the left side  :'-( :'-( :'-(

lucky for me --he recovered --and ever-so-clever --------- matched the identical cut to the right side
====================

as usual --ramon is shy about promoting his talents ....
so he asked me to advise all you picky collectors to send him your grails for these minor type ' touch-ups '
" no problemooo "

:-D

in a desperate effort to protect the very little thats now left of ramons reputation :-)

its time to come clean --and admit there was no dremel involved -
and ramon was there as my ' support group ' to watch ME make these lovely cuts -

it was done with my 1966 worm drive porter cable jig saw --which can cut thru 3/8" steel -
like butter :-O

and these were ' purpose cuts --
what purpose you ask ?????????????

the lower front case needed to be removed to make space to fit the whopping
TEN INCH WOOFS that i scored on an MCM close-out deal...
this m70 front case was a junker anyway

lots of shots and performance reports ( hint =   )
to follow --this weekend

so - THANKS to ramon for LOTS of help -
and to norm for some spectacular m70 operational work -- PLUS the gorgeous dial lamp
