Just seems kinda odd, because most people who bid on an auction don't want to bring others into the party.

Haha. Life is good indeed. Still, I've never seen somebody go out of their way to help sell boxes for that goofy doofus like you have. If you're not on his payroll, you should be. "GET OUT THE HIGH ROLLERS" LMAO!!!

You had to expect to get drop-kicked on this one. You say you are the high bidder on a NIB 707 but instead of keeping it secret you invite all the high rollers to come on board...only someone with an agenda would do that. As a collector I have NEVER invited anyone to bid on an auction I was involved with...for what? To spend more money? Your post makes no sense...at all.

On Boomboxery, we have a long standing policy regarding posting of active auctions. This has been discussed many times over. Please read the rules here:

https://boomboxery.com/forum/index.php?/topic/18555-auction-posting-policy/

There are many many reasons but just because one doesn't intend or expect to be a high bidder does not mean the item should be broadcasted if it's an ongoing sale. One reason is that another member might also be bidding and I assure you that they will not appreciate the item they are secretly trying to win be announced in this manner. Any active member that desires to get a good deal can do their own homework. I don't see the item being available anymore but presumably the item# refers to an eBay auction item? Perhaps the announcement caused the item to be snapped up and taken off auction taking it out of the hands of another member who might've been bidding, or intended to bid? Trust me, all serious collectors here DO INDEED check the auction boards frequently.
