A man about my age bought this to record his son playing piano.
Hardly used. Stored for 20 years in a box. His son decided to sell it. Would not ship. Luckily my son was just over 3 hours from it. And she now sits waiting on me to claim.... I have waited a long time for the right M90. Sold 2 i have found before. Always said if the cash ever came along i would grab a mint box. And now it's a reality. The HD pics I got by email are more defined. This I could upload them .......... This thing is gorgeous.....

Congrats bro!!! I know exactly how you feel!!! When are you actually going to get it?
I will fly into Edmonton Alberta to visit my son probably in Sept. So it will sit unused till i arrive. And I will ship it to myself. Me and my son are meeting in PA this week. I may discuss how to properly ship a box. I am willing to pay well for bomb proof shipping next day service.

Can't you take it as a carry on?

I hope it comes with its original cardboard box, because then I could say you are one lucky person.

Please more pics. as this will make you part of the M-90 elite group.

It really doesn't exist but it is something us members that do own M-90s considers ourselves just for fun.

In the condition it's in I wouldn't want to chance it. Any turbulence it's floating around.
Buy it, it's own ticket and strap it down next to you!😂👍

I would do the same thing as far as getting it home in one piece.

FedEx is the way to go.
Does federal express offer professional packing. I could have my son take it there and avoid the wait?

For what ever it's worth, I hated shipping boxes. Last month I sold a c-100 on Ebay as a local pick up only. A guy from New York bought it and had his friend pick it up from me. His friend paid $250 to UPS and had it "professionally" packed and shipped. This is how it arrived:

Like I said, I don't trust shipping. Especially when it comes to something as special as that m-90. That's why I drove 11 hours one way to pick up my minty c-100. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck what ever way you decide to do it!👍

Big congrats on that find !

Driving it home is always a good option, but in this case it's about a 2200 mile journey , plus car rental!

Does your son know anyone with carpentry skills? Flloyd said it right in another thread to build a crate. Easy enough to do with 1/4 in plywood and 1 x 2s , or take it to a woodworking shop in Edmonton as I am sure you could get it done for $100 or so. Bubble wrap the piss out of it and box it then put it in the crate with more bubble wrap and take it on the plane as extra luggage. Maybe wrap the crate in cardboard too, but MAKE SURE if shipping it.

You gonna love this long time !

I agree with duckman, I looked into shipping the minty c-100 with a shipping company. From Atlanta to Los Angeles it would cost $400. They would double box it, build a wooden crate, and strap it down on a pallet and ground ship it. I would have done that if Bob wouldn't of suggested we meet in New Mexico.

Just look into all your options. That gem is worth it!

This seems to be a new trend the last couple years. Minty grails just pop up for sale.

Nice job.
