Ooh, I don't recall seeing one of those before. I like the matching "windows" on the front for the dial and meters. How does it sound? :-)

That's the JVC RC-717 or variant of it. The bus-car is the thing going right, not the boombox I hope?

It´s a really good sounding unit for it´s size and age.
Really love it.
Also the VU´s are switchable:
2xVU or 1xVU and battery

also got the older version of it a time ago:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2041&hilit=save+old+JVC

and a partspender for this one.

Understood Roman. But memories will last a lifetime, especially with the help of photographs to remind you when you get old and forgetful. :w00t:

nice box roman   how about sending the big one over to the states :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

The problem was another.
The wagon was not at the end of it´s life and would be sold to east countrys for sure.
But getting parts for over 30years old trains is very difficoult.
So 2 of those series have to be parted, to save the lifes of their brothers...

Till a few weeks ago we also had a beautiful railroad restaurant.
The "piano express", a old steamer with historic cars on the danube island.
Now a few idiotic vandals burned it down. :annoyed:
Lost forever....
